Construction Intern – Oshkosh, WI

We are looking to hire a Construction Management Intern to work on construction projects alongside the Benesch team across our Oshkosh office for Summer 2021. Ideal candidates will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Technical degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related curriculum.  

Primary work assignments may consist of assisting with construction engineering, observation, and/or surveying services for various transportation projects.

2021 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF)

Applications for 2021 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) are now open. Fellowship recipients will spend the summer working on an individual research project under the guidance of a Michigan Tech faculty mentor.

SURFs are open to all Michigan Tech undergraduates who have at least one semester remaining after the summer term. Awards are $4,000. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Feb. 12.

CS1090 – Introduction to Computing Principles

Students who would like to know more about computer programing may be interested in CS1090 (Introduction to Computing Principles) this spring. This course can be used as a professional elective for both Civil and Environmental Engineering students.

Description: Intro to fundamentals of computing using Python for students with no prior programming experience. Students develop computational thinking skills vital for success. Course uses programming to introduce algorithms, abstraction, data, global impact, and internet technologies.

Info Session: Consumer Product Manufacturing Enterprise (Dec 3)

The Consumer Product Manufacturing Enterprise will be holding and virtual information session Thursday, December 3rd at 6:00 PM through zoom. The enterprise is actively seeking new students to join the enterprise. All students are encouraged to attend regardless of year or major. Our hope is that all of the students who participate in CPM will leave empowered with the entrepreneurial, technical, and professional skills to conceive, develop, and market successful products in a company setting. Skills learned in manufacturing disposable consumer products will be readily applicable to other types of products and commodities. We actively promote the expectation that some of our students will go on past graduation to start their own successful business ventures
