My name is Katie Tomasoski and I am the Manager of Technical Services for Verso’s Quinnesec Mill (located in the Upper Peninsula). Verso is a leading producer of printing papers, specialty papers and pulp and has two manufacturing locations in the UP! I graduated from MTU with a Chemical Engineering degree back in 2003. I will be at Tech this week for the career fair and will be hosting an info night on Wednesday at 7pm in the MUB Ballroom B-2. Besides learning more about Verso, students will have the opportunity to win a JBL Flip 4 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker & Car Charger Bundle (along with free pizza of course!). We are recruiting for Environmental Engineering co-ops.
SME will be here for both Preview Day and Career Fair on Tuesday (9/26) and Wednesday (9/27). In addition, SME will be having an informational session on Monday, September 25th at 7 p.m. in Fisher 129. The event is being put on and co-hosted by ASCE, Chi Epsilon, and Triangle Fraternity in an effort to bring opportunities directly to civil and environmental engineers. SME will be providing pizza, salad, and pop. More information about SME can be found at their website www.sme-usa.com or in this year’s career fair publications.
Aqua-Aerobic Systems is hosting an information session on Tuesday September 26th from 7:30-8:30 pm in the Alumni Lounge A of the MUB. We will also be at the civil/environmental engineering reception. Aqua is a wastewater treatment equipment manufacturer.

Presented by the Railroad Engineering & Activities Club (REAC), this is our showcase event that brings rail industry companies from all over to our very own Michigan Tech. Interact with rail industry employers in a casual environment, which also includes a sit-down dinner and a fascinating keynote! Plus, students will have a chance to win one of many door and raffle prizes during the event – which is covered by our modest $5 registration fee.
Resume Blitz: No Appointment Necessary
Company representatives and community professionals are seated at the Resume Blitz from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Monday (Sept. 25) in MUB Commons to help students.
