Relevanssi is a WordPress plugin that replaces the standard WordPress search with one that includes a lot of features and configurable options. Michigan Tech has installed the free version of Relevanssi, not the premium version.
Some of the features available include:
- sorting search results by relevance instead of date
- matching partial words
- setting the search or OR or AND
- highlighting search terms
Settings for the Relevanssi plugin can be found by hovering over the Settings menu in the left pane and clicking on Relevanssi. Information about the specific changes you can make with the plugin can be found in the Relevanssi User Manual. Please note that the indexing has already been done for all sites and will be done yearly to maintain the integrity of each index.
