Fleis & VanderBrink is looking for upcoming (December) graduates  interested in traffic and transportation.

They are looking to hire one or two new grads that have an ability to do public speaking, can work in a very fast paced environment, is very good technically, a fast learner and is really passionate about traffic operations and design-or wants to be.

If yes, they would love to talk to you and see if they would be interested in joining our group in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Their group does about 75% of all of the traffic impact studies in Michigan and are looking to grow that number.  Some of their clients include Meijer, Kroger and Amazon. Fleis & VanderBrink also work with municipalities such as Livonia, Birmingham and Brighton Twp in addition to traffic studies they perform as part of MDOT contracts.  This is only a fraction of the diversity of work that they perform in this group and with some great new grads with fresh ideas they can take the group to the next level.

2018 CISC Scholarship Competition

The Association of Cuban American Engineers (ACAE) and the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers (C-AACE) are glad to announce the 2018 Cuba Infrastructure Scholarship Competition

It gives us great pleasure to invite all engineering students from ABET accredited programs to participate in this year’s scholarship competition. Participants will get the chance to win a scholarship of up to $6,000 and the opportunity to network with engineering professionals from both public and private industry sectors. Please distribute the attached information to engineering faculty and students.

The Cuba Infrastructure Scholarship Competition entails that university student teams formulate and present a project of their choice on Cuba’s public infrastructure that relates to the engineering field in transportation, water resources, power, telecommunications, healthcare or agriculture.

BNSF Info Session, Wednesday, Oct 4th

Representatives from BNSF are planning to hold an info session on Wednesday, Oct 4th, after Rail Day, but they need your help!  They want to make sure the space they use is large enough, and they are planning to include food.  In both cases having a feel for the number of students that will attend is crucial.

Bernia Ivey, from BNSF will be the primary presenter.  Among other duties she is responsible for the Management Trainee program for the Railroad, and is responsible working with all levels of the company to hire and retain employees.
