Late Night Programming – Comedian, Pete Lee

Come out for some comedy Friday, January 25 at 10:00PM in the MUB Ballroom.  Pete mixes cutting punchlines with an underdog perspective to absolutely roast himself on stage. His likable style and self-deprecating humor have made him one of the hottest acts today. He made his television debut on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend.  He’s come a long way since then, being placed 12 out of the top 100 comedians in Comedy Central’s Standup Showdown. Pete has also proved that his humor transcends demographic boundaries by winning Country Music Television’s Next Big Comic.

Tech Trails to be Staffed on the Weekends

The Michigan Tech Athletics and Recreation Department and the Michigan Tech Outdoor Adventure Program have joined forces to improve user experiences at the University’s trail system. A ticket booth at the trails will be staffed during weekends to allow users to purchase passes and rent equipment on site.

The booth will be located at the main trail head near the waxing shed and open Fridays 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Daily and annual trail passes along with ski and snowshoe rentals will be available at the booth. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

All trail users must have their pass displayed and may be delayed until verified as a student or paid user.

The Tech Trails offer more than 24 kilometers of six and nine meter trail for year-round use, including seven which are lighted. The trails connect with the Nara trail system. In addition to Nordic skiing and snowshoeing, there are dedicated trails for skijoring and snow biking.

For more information please contact the Outdoor Adventure Program at 906-487-2290 or email at oap@mtu.edu
