A band of four merry archivists from the Michigan Tech Archives competed in the Michigan Tech HuskyPaw Amazing Challenge on June 15. The competition, based on the CBS reality show, The Amazing Race, took teams through both physical and mental challenges in the Houghton and Hancock area. We’re happy to announce that on June 3rd the Archives is returning to its “pre-disaster” hours – Monday through Friday, from 10:00 to 5:00. As always, no appointment is necessary. Additionally, we’re also thrilled to have received the third and final shipment of material that was sent for treatment after the October 26, 2012 small . . .

Labor and and management conflict in the Keweenaw Peninsula is explored through a traveling exhibit in Painesdale during the month of April. “Tumult and Tragedy: Michigan’s 1913-14 Copper Strike,” a traveling exhibit created by the Michigan Tech Archives, will be on display through May 1.
