Procter and Gamble is looking hiring for both full time and intern manufacturing engineering positions. Our new engineers commonly start their careers as either process engineers where they focus on building, maintaining, and improving the systems we use to operate the equipment in our facility while building capability in our workforce or as plant engineers where they focus on utilizing the engineering work processes to evaluate and install the capability in our facilities in order to meet our business goals.

I’m hoping you can share this information with the Environmental Engineering department. It would be great to have some of these students fill out our online application and complete the associated assessments, which take about 30 minutes. We will have a team up at career fair later this month and will be doing interviews the following day. Students who take and pass the assessment before the career fair have an upper hand towards getting an interview. Job Postings (Career Fair): MSA Professional

I am a recent MTU Environmental Engineering graduate from the Spring 2017 class. I work at MSA Professional Services at the Rhinelander, WI office on a Wastewater Engineering design team. I will be attending this coming Fall career fair to represent MSA at our booth!

Job Postings: Michigan Works! helping fill jobs for construction on new Soo Locks

Michigan Works! is helping fill the many jobs available in the eastern U.P. to help build the new Soo Locks.

Corinna Peterson, the marketing and communications manager for MiWorks!, says they’re searching for hard workers who want to work and live in the Upper Peninsula. MiWorks! is even looking to recruit employees from out of state, as there are many jobs to fill. She says the hope is that people will want to stay in the U.P. and contribute to the economy.

There are openings for Safety & Occupational Health Specialists, Engineering Technicians (Civil), Construction Support Assistants, Construction Representatives, Civil Engineers, and Project Schedulers.

Peterson says these jobs are temporary, but will last for at least a couple of years.

Internships: Arenac County Road Commission

Arenac County Road Commission is looking for an engineering student to fill a summer seasonal or temporary summer job.

Job duties include working on Roadsoft computer software program doing culvert and sign inventory, and evaluations of roads along with traffic counts and studies.  Strong computer skills required and a valid Michigan Driver’s License.
