Here are a few important updates regarding planned maintenance and general projects in and outside the SDC, and upcoming building closure dates.
Annual Floor Resurfacing:
Varsity Gym
- May 18/19 sanding and resurfacing then closed until May 23 (opens the morning of May 24)
Multipurpose Room
- May 25/26 sanding and resurfacing then closed until May 30 (opens the morning of May 31)
- The Climbing Wall will remain open for regular hours May 28-30.
Parking Lot Construction:
Lot 22 & the SDC service drive (between the SDC and Lot 22) will be closed from Tuesday, May 28 to Monday, June 3, for demo/grading, paving, and painting. Here is the individual schedule for those interested:
Demo/Grading – Tuesday/Wednesday 5/28-5/29
Paving – Thursday and Friday 5/30-5/31
Line Painting – Saturday 6/01 and Monday 6/03
Parking Lot Open – Tuesday 6/04 (SDC closed)
Staff and patrons who normally park in Lot 22 please park in Lots 23, 24, or 29 during the project. The SDC main entrance will remain open so building users and patrons can access it.
As a reminder, the SDC and Gates Tennis Center will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. The SDC will also be closed on Tuesday, June 4, for mock disaster training.
