Thanksgiving, 1963. Several of us were too far from home to go home for Thanksgiving, so we went to the Otter River Camp and went hunting. Thanksgiving dinner at the camp was a bear stew fixed by Dave Grimble and Jim Schultz, among others from a bear Dave had shot a few days previous. Steaks had been almost inedible, but the stew was pretty good.
