Dear Class of 1970
As you may be aware, 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of graduating from Michigan Tech and the Keweenaw of our youth. The Class of 1970 will celebrate these past 50 years and return to Houghton August 6–8, 2020 for our reunion. You and our classmates have gone on to do some amazing things, and we look forward to hearing about what we’ve all been up to. The weekend will be a great chance for us to reconnect, see the changes on campus, and enjoy the hospitality of the Copper Country once again.
It is also a long-standing Michigan Tech tradition for the 50th anniversary class to hold a special gift effort to commemorate our milestone. We personally invite all members of the Class of 1970 to make a contribution in support of the reunion gift program and to honor all that we have achieved.
In an effort to further the legacy of the Class of 1970, we are providing a $100,000 matching gift to Michigan Tech starting January 1, 2020, on a dollar-per-dollar basis. Let’s make an impact on today’s students from the Class of 1970.
We’ll be in touch with details of our reunion as well as the progress of our gift effort. We are looking forward to returning to Houghton and our alma mater, and we’re sure you, like us, have many great memories. Let’s do all we can to make this a memorable reunion celebration for our entire class.
