To celebrate 10 years with the Michigan Tech Archives, University Archivist Lindsay Hiltunen ’03 (BS Social Sciences), a current Humanities PhD student, is sharing one of her favorite images for this month’s historical feature—a picture of a young boy named David with his deer on the beach in Eagle Harbor. Titled “Our Boy with the Deer,” the image is part of The Daily Mining Gazette Photograph Collection, dated from 1958.
Do you have a favorite four-legged friend to frolic on the beach with? Let us know in the comments, and think summer!
Congratulations, Lindsay!
