New Funding for Michigan Tech Faculty

ADVANCE at Michigan Tech would like to extend their congratulations to Amlan Mukherjee (CEE/MTTI), and Issei Nakamura (Physics/CQP) for their new funding! See the story which was published by Sponsored Programs in the August 11 edition of Tech Today below.

Amlan Mukherjee (CEE/MTTI) is the principal investigator on a project that has received a $49,999 research and development Contract-FFP from National Asphalt Paving Association.

The project is entitled, “PCR for Asphalt Mixtures and the Emerald Eco-Label EPD Program.” This is a one year project.

Issei Nakamura (Physics/CQP) is the principal investigator on a project that has received a $196,000 research and development grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The project is entitled, “CAREER: Coarse-Grained Theory and Simulation of Ion-Containing Liquids: Study of Ion Solvation by Polymers and Ionic Liquids and Between Nanoparticles.” This is a five-year project that has the potential of receiving a total of $490,000.
